Bluelock Wins TechPoint Mira Award for Excellence and Innovation,Contribution to Indiana’s Tech Economy
Cloud computing provider selected for state’s top technology honors in the Information Technology Gazelle Company category
(Indianapolis, Indiana – May 18, 2010) – Bluelock, an experienced provider of cloud hosting and managed IT services, announces that TechPoint, Indiana’s economic development initiative focused on technology and entrepreneurship, selected Bluelock in the Information Technology Gazelle Company category at the annual Mira Awards Gala. Now in its 11th year, the TechPoint Mira Awards highlight Indiana’s technology companies, institutions and individuals who are leading the state’s high-tech economy.
The Mira Awards identify the most innovative and successful firms in information technology, as well as technology-focused companies in industries like advanced manufacturing, logistics and the life sciences. “Gazelle” awards are given to fast-growing companies that have been in business for less than three years since initial commercialization, as well as awards highlighting educators and institutions that help connect technology and learning.
“Again this year, we attracted a record number of Mira Award nominations,” said Mark Hill, TechPoint chairman and a managing partner of Collina Ventures. “The record we broke was set last year – and the previous high-water mark was 2008. Even during the worst of the national recession, this program generated more and more interest and enthusiasm from an expanding group of Indiana high-tech companies and organizations.”
“I am excited for all of our stakeholders especially our clients and employees to be recognized by TechPoint as Indiana’s top Information Technology Gazelle Company,” said John Qualls, President and CEO, Bluelock. “Our selection is recognition of Bluelock as an innovator in the rapidly expanding cloud hosting space and further validates our business plan and the market’s need for experience and different levels of managed IT and cloud hosting services.”
