Enable IT
Simplified deployment.
Bluelock provides on-demand Virtual Datacenters for quick setup and efficient provisioning. Bluelock Virtual Datacenters offer complete flexibility and control of the virtual machines, along with the network, security, and catalog templates you typically manage in your own private VMware environments.
Bluelock resources take just minutes to set up through the VMware vCloud Director self-service interface. Customers can quickly and easily build new virtual machines from public and private catalogs of virtual machine templates or simply upload virtual machines already running in your environment.

VMware vCloud compatibility.
One of the most convenient and comforting aspects of a Bluelock Virtual Datacenter is its complete compatibility with any VMware environment. As a vCloud Datacenter Service Provider, Bluelock is a leading VMware cloud provider that consistently implements the latest vCloud technologies.
Bluelock Virtual Datacenters use VMware’s cloud infrastructure technology, including vCloud Director, vCloud API, VMware vSphere and vShield security. Using a common management and security model, customers can move workloads between internal datacenters and Bluelock Virtual Datacenters.
The Bluelock Virtual Datacenter service offers enormous flexibility, given the Open Virtualization Form (OVF) standard supported by Bluelock and VMware. With a standardized methodology for packaging and distributing virtual machines, customers can freely and seamlessly move workloads between public cloud environments and private clouds. Companies can overcome the uploading and downloading migration challenges and can also feel safe from the risks of vendor lock-in with the ease of moving data and workloads via OVF.
VMware vCloud Connector enables Bluelock customers to move virtual machines, vApps and templates between internal datacenters and Bluelock Virtual Datacenters with a centralized hybrid cloud management user interface. The vCloud Connector plugs into vSphere Client and allows administrators to access their consoles remotely, gain deep visibility into virtual resource allocation and consumption and connect and manage all virtual and cloud environments.

Safe, secure resources.
Bluelock enables your Virtual Datacenter to be protected using the same methods and tools you use to protect your own internal datacenter. For network security, you can bring your own firewall or use one of the leading firewall appliances that Bluelock offers including the Checkpoint Security Gateway and VMware’s vShield Edge firewall.
You can choose self-management of the firewall configuration or you can take advantage of Bluelock Managed Services to configure and maintain the firewall on your behalf. Either way, you have control of the network security and can protect the network to the same standard as your internal networks.
You also have control with data security. You have complete control of data encryption in your Bluelock Virtual Datacenter. You have options to backup copies of your data, which includes the option of using Bluelock Managed Services to backup to tape with off-site storage.
Bluelock provides the capabilities for you to protect your data in your Virtual Datacenter to the same standard as your internal datacenter.

Flexible, quick capacity.
Many customers who want to deploy a cloud computing service are not completely confident in their ability to predict the amount of resources needed to properly run the applications and workloads that will be placed in the environment.
Because we know our customers will have a better handle on predictability as they move through their cloud computing journey, flexible capacity is integral early on and for applications that are inherently unpredictable in regards to capacity needs.
Depending on how predictable your capacity requirements are you may need different levels of burstable capacity. With Bluelock Virtual Datacenters you can tightly control stable and declining applications to eliminate cost through efficient operation as well as expand growing applications in real time by allowing for burst.
By using burstable capacity, you can avoid a poor customer experience under spontaneous utilization spikes.
